Purpose

Southeast Connection organizes two meetings per year where sport, culture and recreation staff and volunteers have the opportunity to network with other communities throughout the south east to find out about current issues, grants, programs and listen to guest speakers.

Vision

The Southeast Connection staff and volunteers create a networking system that meets their needs, creates support and assists in their development.

Target Groups

Recreation Practitioners, Recreation Boards, Sport Administrators, Culture Administrators, Community sport, culture and recreation volunteers.

CULTURAL CONNECTION – annually each April - held in Stoughton - focus on building connections between the District and cultural groups, opportunity to share sucesses, programs and challenges between southeast groups and a SaskCulture representative will be in attendance.

RECREATION PRACTITIONER'S MEETING - annually each September – at the Whitewood Golf Club - held jointly with the Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District (PVSCRD, an opportunity to meet with other communties to talk about sport and recreation concerns and successes and a Sask Parks and Rec. Assoc. rep and Sask. Assoc. of Rec. Professionals rep. in attendance.  Golf to follow the meeting.
