Active After School Project Several data sources suggest that children and youth are spending a lot of their after school time participating in sedentary activities (motorized transportation, watching TV, computer, video games). The after school time period (3 to 6 p.m.) is a window of opportunity for children and youth to engage in physical activity pursuits. Southeast Connection is excited to embark on a new initiative, Active After School Project, to increase the capacity of south east communities to offer physical activity after school programming for children ages 6 – 12 years.
