Overview

The Southeast Connection Sport, Culture & Recreation District Fitness Leadership Training Initiative provides individuals an opportunity to become trained and certified, through the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) Fitness Leadership Certification Program, to lead safe and effective group fitness classes in small and large communities. Southeast Connection received a one time grant that will enable fitness leaders to be trained at a low cost - right close to home!

Upcoming Certification Opportunity

A Fitness Theory course is being held October 1-3 in Kipling. If you are interested in becoming a Certified Fitness Leader this is your first step.  This weekend course covers the basic principles of anatomy and physiology as well as a variety of activity experiences.  We are still looking for participants for this course, the more participants the better! 

So Southeast Connection is asking for your help to recruit individuals who may be interested in becoming certified. In the future we hope to supplement this course with an Older Adult exercise course so that our fitness leaders have an opportunity to become trainied in a specific module.
